Milestones of the rebuild

The reconstruction unfolds across five phases over roughly fourteen months, following the Nepali calendar — from the first appeal to the day the temple is handed back to the community.

    Phase 1 · Baishakh – Asar

    Pre-construction & website launch

    The campaign begins: the brochure and media appeal, the QR fund drive, the bank account opened — and this website published in Jestha to carry the story.

  2. 2

    Phase 2 · Shrawan – Bhadau

    Foundation stone — shilanyas

    The शिलान्यास, the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone in Bhadau, marks the true start of building. Monthly audit and public reporting begin.

    Phase 3 · Asoj – Kartik

    Structural framing

    The saal-wood structure rises for the main temple and the subsidiary shrines, while the donated copper for the roof is collected and readied.

  4. 4

    Phase 4 · Mangsir – Magh

    Main construction & copper roof

    The main temple takes shape, the copper roof and gajur are set in place, the Kali shrine is built, and the endowment fund is established.

  5. 5

    Phase 5 · Falgun – Chaitra – Baishakh

    Completion, Ram Navami inauguration & handover

    Final testing, then the consecration and inauguration on Ram Navami — and the temple’s handover to Khandbari Municipality, with a book and documentary to follow.

Come in person

The shrine stands on the eastern bank of the Arun in Khandbari-9, Sankhuwasabha — about five kilometres north of Tumlingtar. Devotees are welcome for daily darshan and for every festival on the calendar.
